Fiona Spooner

Fiona Spooner is a Senior Data Scientist at Our World In Data. Fiona has a background in data science and sustainable development. Fiona holds a PhD in Sustainability Science from the University of Exeter and was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Exeter's Center for Sustainable Development. Fiona has also worked as an Informatics Technician at UCL, where they developed expertise in GEE and worked on projects related to climate change and sustainable development.

Fiona Spooner's educational career consists of completing a PhD in Ecology and Environment at UCL, a Conservation Science course at Imperial College London, and a Geography BSc at the University of Nottingham.

Fiona Spooner works with Pablo Rosado - Senior Data Scientist, Lucas Rodés-Guirao - Senior Data Scientist, and Cameron Appel - Data Analyst. Fiona Spooner reports to Edouard Mathieu, Head of Data.
