Dave C.

Dave C. has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Dave started their career as a Teacher at Watervliet Public Schools, where they taught algebra and computers and also took on coaching roles. Dave then moved on to Financial Health Credit Union, where they served as the Chief Financial Officer and supervised the accounting and information technology departments.

Following this, Dave worked at GetActive Software as the Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis, responsible for financial modeling and forecasting. Dave then joined Saatchi & Saatchi S as the Controller/Director of Finance, where they handled financial reporting and close processes. Dave also served as the Senior Manager of Finance & HR for a startup, where they created financial tools and processes and managed HR functions.

Dave then served as the Vice President of Finance at Cleantech Group, overseeing finance, administration, IT, legal, and HR functions. Dave provided financial analysis and leadership on strategic issues and reported to the CEO and Board.

After this, Dave worked as the Chief Financial Officer at Big City Mountaineers, a national non-profit organization. Dave was responsible for accounting, finance, IT, and HR and implemented various cost-saving measures. Dave also played a key role in reducing expenses and debt, securing grants, and implementing new systems.

Dave then took on the role of Director of Finance and Operations at the Apparel Impact Institute and the Sustainable Apparel Coalition, where they helped scale the organizations and implemented new processes for government grant accounting.

Most recently, Dave has been working at Out & Equal as the Chief Financial & Administrative Officer. Here, they played a crucial part in developing and implementing data-driven financial strategies that led to a doubling of revenues in just three years. Dave also streamlined operations during the COVID-19 pandemic and created KPI dashboards for financial performance visualization.

Dave C. earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Education from Michigan State University, where they studied from 1989 to 1993. Dave then pursued further education and obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a focus on Business from the University of Michigan-Flint from 2002 to 2004.

In addition to their formal education, Dave C. also holds various certifications. Dave obtained the following certifications related to Salesforce: Salesforce Certified Advanced Administrator in September 2018, Salesforce Certified Sales Cloud Consultant in August 2018, and Salesforce Certified Administrator in July 2018.
