Deena Fidas has worked in various roles throughout their career. In 2006, they started as an Account Executive at O'Brien, McConnell and Pearson, where they managed clients' grassroots fundraising and revenue analysis. In 2007, they joined the Human Rights Campaign as the Director of the Workplace Equality Program. During their time there, they significantly expanded the annual Corporate Equality Index and spearheaded global programs and partnerships in Latin America, India, and Japan. Since 2019, Deena has been working as the Managing Director and Chief Program & Partnerships Officer at Out & Equal. In this role, they lead the organization's domestic and global programs, corporate partnerships, and revenue growth. Deena is also responsible for internal talent development and building a diverse leadership team.

Deena Fidas completed their education with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from American University in 2004. Deena went on to pursue a Master of Arts in Sociology from the same institution and graduated in 2006. Later, they attended the LGBTQ Executive Leadership Program at Stanford University Graduate School of Business, where they concluded their studies in 2019.
