John Rubsamen

John Rubsamen is an experienced events professional currently serving as the Vice President of Events at Out & Equal since December 2023. Previously, John held several key roles at Americans for the Arts, including Senior Director of Business Event Strategy, where leadership was provided to a team responsible for over 30 conventions and special events annually, and Director of Meetings and Events, managing 20+ events each year. Other notable positions include Convention Manager at SmithBucklin, overseeing multiple non-profit association events, and Sales Manager at Vista Convention Services, focusing on marketing strategy and national sales. John began the career as an Administrative Assistant at Drohan Management Group after earning a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication/Media Studies from the University of Tampa.
