Kelly Thibault

Kelly Thibault is the current Chapter Head for Out in Tech in San Francisco. Prior to their current position, they served as an Operations Manager for Greystar and a Program Manager for Learning & Development for Engineering, Product, and Design at Opendoor.

During their time at Greystar, Kelly built up and supervised a team while overseeing daily operations and implementing staffing standards. Kelly coached staff and delegated workloads to address inefficiencies and forged strong working relationships with staff and vendors to drive cost-effective maintenance and renovation work. Some of their accomplishments during this time include leading a team of 3-10 maintenance, leasing, and community staff to establish effective marketing strategies, increase sales, conduct accurate risk management evaluations, and improve customer experience; collaborating and project managing facility improvements, purchases, and staffing for over $1M of revenue and expenses; and transforming an under-performing REIT-owned student housing property with complete staffing vacancy into a functioning and well-led team by catching up on all overdue bills and invoices, and re-establishing positive and rewarding relationships with vendors.

Kelly’s previous position was as a Program Manager for Learning & Development for Engineering, Product, and Design at Opendoor. In this role, they were responsible for designing and delivering technical training programs for new hires and experienced employees across multiple locations. Kelly also created process documentation, developed performance metrics, and managed projects from start to finish.

They are on a team with Ang Buxton - Chapter Head, Boston, Andy Santos - Chapter Head, Chicago, and Abel Quintero - Marketing Head & Chapter Head, Portland. Kelly Thibault reports to Andrew Lowenthal, Executive Director.
