Michael O'Connell

Michael O'Connell has a diverse work experience in the outdoor industry. Michael started their career as a Program Manager and Hard Goods Buyer at Hudson Valley Outfitters, where they managed a team and was responsible for product purchasing related to paddle sports. Michael then worked as a Field Instructor/Guide at Mountain Homes Youth Ranch and a Logistics Coordinator at Outward Bound. Following that, they had roles as a Sales Representative at MVP Sales and North Branch Traders, and as a Field Service Representative at KEEN. From 2013 to 2015, they served as an Outdoor Division Sales Manager at Princeton Tec, focusing on marketing, product development, and sales in the outdoor sports personal lighting market. Michael then joined Mountainman Outdoor Supply Company as a Store Manager and Buyer. Most recently, they have been working at Outdoor Research, where they have held positions as the Sales Manager for Eastern North America, the Senior Sales Manager for North America, and currently serves as the Director of North American Sales.

Michael O'Connell obtained an Associate's Degree in Information Management from Dutchess Community College from 2003 to 2005. Michael then pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Outdoor Recreation at State University of New York Cortland from 2005 to 2007.
