Hartmut Wimmer

Hartmut Wimmer is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in outdoor tourism and infrastructure development. As the Founder and CEO of Outdooractive since September 2008, Hartmut Wimmer has led the creation of a leading platform focused on enhancing outdoor tourism experiences. In addition, Hartmut Wimmer serves as a Board Member of the World Trails Network, which aims to improve trail quality and safety across Europe, and as Board Chair of Digitize the Planet e.V., working on digitizing regulations for nature use. Previous roles include founding and leading ALPSTEIN GmbH and Wimmerplan, where significant contributions to tourism infrastructure were made. Hartmut Wimmer holds a Diplom in Bauingenieur from FH München, obtained between 1988 and 1992.
