Barbara Penn

Dr. Barbara Penn is a retired internal medicine physician with more than three decades of experience working in health centers. She is a full-time resident of Wellfleet and ended her career as a primary care physician with Outer Cape Health Services from 2012 to 2015. Prior to moving to Wellfleet in 2012, she was employed at Massachusetts General Hospital Charlestown HealthCare Center for three decades. As Associate Unit Chief of the Internal Medicine Unit, Dr. Penn oversaw operations and the Quality Control Committee, in addition to maintaining a busy adult patient practice at the Charlestown center. At OCHS, Dr. Penn worked on quality improvement pilots at the Wellfleet health center and saw adult patients in Wellfleet and Provincetown. Dr. Penn held internships in pathology at Buffalo General Hospital and was an intern resident at Boston City Hospital. She received her medical degree from the University at Buffalo School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences—SUNY.
