James Rosenthal's work experience begins in 2015 when they worked as a LiDAR Research Scientist and Captain in the USAF at the Air Force Research Laboratory. James held this role until 2018. In 2016, Rosenthal also worked as a Postgraduate Researcher at the Air Force Institute of Technology-Graduate School of Engineering & Management for a year. Following this, in 2018, they became a Data Analyst at the Canadian Association of Physicists / Association canadienne des physiciens et physiciennes until 2019. In the same year, they also joined PRO Unlimited @ Facebook as a Data Engineer, but their position ended after 10 months. From 2019 to 2023, Rosenthal worked at Meta as a Data Engineer, and in 2023, they joined Outgo in the same role.
James Rosenthal obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Physics from Cornell University from 2009 to 2013. James then pursued further education and obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Engineering Physics from the Air Force Institute of Technology-Graduate School of Engineering & Management from 2013 to 2015. In addition to their degrees, James has obtained several certifications including "Becoming a Male Ally at Work" from LinkedIn in November 2019, and various certifications in circuits and electronics from edX in 2017.
