Maia S.

Maia S. is a dedicated community leader and entrepreneur with extensive experience in civic tech, art activism, and food sustainability. Currently serving as a Community Ambassador for Black Tech Saturdays, Maia leads initiatives focused on digital equity and civic engagement in Detroit. As the Founder of Motor City Savor, Maia is developing a food delivery app aimed at reducing food waste through partnerships with local food providers. In the role of Detroit Documenter for Outlier Media, Maia utilizes technology to document civic meetings for transparency and community awareness. Previously, Maia held positions at Detroit Media + Technology as an Artivist-in-Residence, where artistic projects addressed social justice and sustainability. Additionally, Maia's background includes leading community-focused initiatives through AmeriCorps and managing impactful programs at Howard University. Graduating from Howard University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in 2021, Maia continues to inspire and engage communities towards social change.
