Chelsea Dunmire

Chelsea Dunmire is a Research Associate at Outpace Bio since September 2022, with prior experience as a Research Scientist 1 at UW Medicine, where research focused on the host immune response, gut microbiome, and enteric pathogens in a BSL-2 laboratory. Chelsea's expertise includes optimizing laboratory protocols, developing in vitro co-culture models, and utilizing machine learning for analyzing gene expression and virulence factors. Chelsea has a strong foundation in microbiology and molecular biology from California Lutheran University, where responsibilities included tutoring, lecturing on bioinformatics, and conducting research on the gut microbiome of California sea lions. Chelsea's background also includes a STEM research fellowship at the University of Aberdeen and leadership experience in university event planning and public health initiatives.
