Iona Scallan has a diverse range of work experience in the animation industry. Iona started their career in 2009 at Ink.Digital, where they worked as a Digital Ink & Paint Artist on the animated feature film "L’Illusioniste."
In 2010, Scallan joined the Glasgow School of Art as a Character Designer & Illustrator, creating concept art and character designs for the television production "Being Victor."
Later that year, they returned to Ink.Digital as a 2D Effects Animator & Supervisor, contributing to the French animated film "Titeuf Le Film" and supervising colleagues in the department.
In 2011, Scallan briefly worked at Ink.Digital as a 2D Effects Animator & Digital Ink & Paint Artist.
From 2012 to 2014, they joined Outplay Entertainment Ltd as an Artist, before transitioning to Kobojo Ltd in 2014 as an Animator.
Scallan later returned to Outplay Entertainment Ltd in 2016, where they initially served as an Artist and then took on the position of Senior Artist in September 2018.
Throughout their career, Scallan has showcased their artistic talent, proficiency in digital tools such as Adobe Photoshop, and expertise in traditional drawing techniques. Iona'sroles have involved everything from digital coloring and animation to character design and scene elements.
From 2002 to 2006, Iona Scallan attended the University of Dundee, where they pursued a degree in Animation & Electronic Media. Iona focused their studies in the field of Animation during their time at the university.
