Sergio Loureiro

Sergio Loureiro has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Sergio began their career as a Research Engineer at the Systems and Robotics Institute in 1994 before moving on to work as a Research Assistant at the Polytechnic Institute of Porto from 1996 to 1997. Sergio then joined Eurecom as a Research Engineer from 1997 to 2001. In 2001, they worked as a Senior Software Developer at Zencod for a year and a half.

Sergio's next venture was with NetSecureOne, where they held multiple roles, including Project Manager from 2003 to 2003, Project Manager and Leader of the application security gateways group from 2004 to 2006, and R&D Manager from 2006 to 2007. Sergio then served as the CTO at MailInBlack from 2007 to 2009, where they led a development team and managed customer needs.

In 2010, Sergio co-founded SecludIT and served as the CEO, responsible for developing the business, securing funding, and managing investor relations until 2018. Sergio then joined Outpost24 and held various positions, starting as Director of Product Management from 2018 to 2021, followed by Senior Director of Product Management from 2021 to 2023. Currently, they are the VP of Product Strategy at Outpost24.

Throughout their career, Sergio has showcased their expertise in diverse roles, ranging from research and development to product management and leadership.

Sergio Loureiro completed their education in a chronological manner. Sergio obtained their PhD in Informatique et Reseaux from Télecom Paris between 1997 and 2001. Prior to that, they earned an MSc in Computer Science from the Engineering Faculty of Porto from 1994 to 1996. Before their master's degree, Sergio completed their undergraduate studies at the Engineering Faculty of Porto, where they received a degree in Computer Science between 1989 and 1994.

In addition to their academic achievements, Sergio also holds several certifications. Sergio obtained certifications in "Build," "Focus," "Foundations," and "PMC Level III" from Pragmatic Institute (Pragmatic Marketing + TDI) in June 2018.
