Poorva Kumar

Poorva Kumar has a vast work experience in various roles and industries. They started their career as a Product Marketing Intern at Lupin Pharmaceuticals in 2009. They then interned as a Strategic Marketing Intern at Radico Khaitan Ltd in 2010, where they gained exposure to the distillery industry and conducted market analysis.

In 2011, Poorva joined the MS Swaminathan Research Foundation as a Research and Development Intern. They successfully extracted and identified secondary metabolites in select lichen species and confirmed the presence of chemical compounds with anti-microbial properties.

From 2011 to 2013, Poorva worked as a Project Engineer at Wipro Limited before joining New York University as a Graduate Teaching Assistant in the Chemical and Biomolecular Department. They held this role until 2015.

In 2015, Poorva became the Business Development and Marketing Manager at Pacific BioLabs, Inc. After two years, they transitioned to TransPerfect, where they held multiple roles. They started as a Product Marketing Manager in the Life Sciences Solutions division and later became a Project Manager. Eventually, they were promoted to Senior Project Manager, a role they held until 2021.

Currently, Poorva works at Outreach as a Senior Project Manager, a position they started in 2022.

Poorva Kumar earned a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) degree in Biotechnology from SRM University, where they attended from 2007 to 2011. Poorva then pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Biotechnology and Entrepreneurship at New York University, graduating in 2015. Additionally, Poorva obtained a certification in Programming using C++ from NIIT Technologies Limited, although the exact month and year of its completion are not specified.
