Yi Lu

Yi Lu is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in software engineering and development. Currently serving as Engineering Director at Outreach since September 2019, Yi Lu previously held various leadership positions at Microsoft from August 2004 to September 2019, including Principal Software Engineer and Principal Engineering Manager, focusing on projects related to real-time person tracking, Ambient Intelligence, and media platforms for Skype and Lync. Prior to Microsoft, Yi Lu was a Research Assistant at the Department of Computer Sciences, Purdue University, where research centered on mobile wireless networks and routing protocols. Yi Lu holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Purdue University, an MS from the Software Institute of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and a BS from the University of Science and Technology of China.
