Martin Sotola has a diverse work experience spanning from 2009 to 2018. In 2009, they worked as a Freelance Graphic Designer / Self Employed. From 2011 to 2012, they worked as a Research Assistant at the University of Colorado at Boulder, where they modeled bacteria as a mass spring system using differential equations and MATLAB. Martin also worked as a Teaching Assistant at the same university in 2012, where they helped students learn MATLAB to solve engineering problems. From 2012 to 2013, they worked at Seagate Technology as a Mechanical Design Intern and an Engineering Services Intern. During this time, they designed and validated a test fixture to evaluate manufacturer screw quality, and created a model and documentation for Pneumatic Test Fixtures in SolidWorks. From 2013 to 2018, they worked at Stratom as a Mechanical Engineer, where they designed and assembled large robotic vehicles, and handheld consumer products. Martin also managed products from requirement development through to their manufacturing and release. Lastly, they worked at Outrider as a Senior Engineer, Robotics from 2018 onwards.
Martin Sotola graduated from Fairview High School in 2010 with an IB Diploma. Martin then went on to pursue a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Colorado Boulder, which they completed in 2014.
