Paul Wempe

Paul Wempe has a diverse work experience spanning from 2013 to 2022. In 2013, they began as an Engineer Intern at Recora Inc., where they gained experience with product design and production. Paul then worked as a Teaching Assistant and Undergraduate Research Assistant at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. In 2014, they were an Engineer Intern at Vesuvius, where they standardized a detailed lockout tagout protocol in accordance with Lean production principles. In 2016, they were a Graduate Research Assistant at the Energy Biosciences Institute-University of Illinois, where they worked on improving harvesting machinery technologies for precision and sustainable sugarcane production. From 2017 to 2019, they were an Automation Engineer and Engineering Leadership Development Program Associate at Parker Hannifin. Lastly, from 2019 to 2022, they were a Reliability, Maintenance, and Engineering (RME) Program Manager and Advanced Manufacturing Engineer, Industry 4.0 at Stanley Black & Decker, Inc., and a Senior Assembly Operations Engineer and Manufacturing Test Engineer at Outrider.

Paul Wempe obtained a Bachelor's of Science in Agricultural and Biological Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 2015. Paul then pursued a Master of Science in Agricultural and Biological Engineering from the same university, which they completed in 2017.
