Margo Elena Mejia

Margo Elena Mejia is a seasoned Garden Education Consultant and founder of Rainbow City Gardens, providing expertise in edible garden creation and educational program development since May 2015. Margo has collaborated with Chicago Youth Centers as an independent contractor since 2017, leading curriculum development and gardening programs. Additionally, Margo serves as an online teacher through Outschool, focusing on gardening, farming, and environmental issues for youth. Previous roles include Garden Programs Coordinator at Chicago Public Schools, Virtual Farm Educator for Fearless Farmers, and instructor for various educational initiatives. Margo holds a Master's degree in Organic Agriculture and Food Systems from the University of Hohenheim and a dual Bachelor’s degree in Biology and Spanish from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
