Michael Hogard

Michael Hogard has extensive experience in the medical device industry, with a focus on software development and systems engineering. Michael began their career at Althin Medical in 1987, where they worked as a Research Specialist for over 13 years. In 2000, they joined Baxter Healthcare as an Engineering Specialist, responsible for regulatory compliance, product line extensions, and strategic planning for dialysis medical devices. During their time at Baxter, they also served as a technical project leader for specialized air detection systems and the development of a new hemodialysis instrument. In 2012, Hogard joined Outset Medical, Inc. as the Director of Software Development and Systems Engineering, a position they continue to hold.

Michael Hogard earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Oregon State University, completing their studies from 1982 to 1986.
