Jean Pierre Richa has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. In 2006, they started their career as a Network Technician at Broadband Connections before moving on to work as an IT Coordinator at GTA Computers from 2009 to 2010. Jean Pierre then joined Dunkin' Donuts Lebanon, where they held multiple roles including Shift Supervisor, IT Coordinator, and eventually became a Multi Store Manager from 2011 to 2015. Following that, they held the position of Branch Manager at Zaatar W Zeit from 2015 to 2017.
Jean Pierre Richa transitioned into the field of computer vision engineering in 2018 when they worked as a Computer Vision Engineer at Info Solution S.p.A. There, they focused on developing Robust Visual-Inertial Odometry algorithms for mobile robots operating in outdoor unstructured environments. Jean Pierre gained expertise in C++, computer vision, SLAM, IMU, differential drive, sensor fusion, and ROS.
In 2019, Richa pursued a Ph.D. in Real-Time Computer Science, Robotics, Systems, and Control at ANSYS. Their research project revolved around urban scene modeling from 3D point clouds and massive LiDAR simulation for autonomous vehicles. This Ph.D. journey lasted until 2022.
In 2021, Richa joined MINES ParisTech as a Teaching Assistant, where they supervised internships and focused on learning ray-drop for high-fidelity LiDAR simulation. Jean Pierre also taught a robotics vision class and supervised lab sessions.
In 2022, Richa participated in the Entrepreneur First Find Program, which is an accelerated startup founder program. During this program, they gained insights into different startup phases and learned from success and failure startup stories.
Currently, Jean Pierre Richa works as an Algorithm Engineer at Outsight starting from 2023.
Jean Pierre Richa completed their Ph.D. in Real Time Computer Science, Robotics, Systems, and Control at Mines Paris from 2019 to 2022. Prior to that, they pursued a Master's degree in Engineering in Artificial Intelligence and Robotics at Sapienza Università di Roma from 2017 to 2019. Jean Pierre obtained their Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Arts, Science and Technology University in Lebanon (AUL) from 2014 to 2017. In addition, Jean Pierre Richa obtained certifications in "Deep Learning and Computer Vision A-Z: OpenCV, SSD, & GANs" from Udemy in March 2019, and "Artificial Intelligence A-Z" from Udemy in March 2018.
