Qianye (Renee) Mei has a work experience as a Software Engineer at Outward, Inc. since June 2019. Previously, they worked as a Programmer in Project Wake at Carnegie Mellon University from August 2018 to December 2018, where they collaborated with students from HCI and dancers to create a Mixed Reality emotional experience. Their responsibilities included creating a shader for filtered depth data, various VFX shaders, and programming the gameplay of the experience. Before that, they worked as a Technical Artist Intern at Netease Games from June 2018 to August 2018, where they communicated with the Art Director and Concept Artists to create procedural PBR substance templates responsive to mesh data input, and imported substances into Unreal and set up shaders.
Qianye (Renee) Mei pursued their education at the Carnegie Mellon University from 2017 to 2019. During this period, they obtained a Master's degree in Computer Graphics. Prior to that, from 2013 to 2016, they attended the Georgia Institute of Technology where they completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Civil Engineering.
