Nick Melson has had a diverse range of work experience in various roles. Most recently, they worked as a Regional Vice Principal at Outwood Grange Academies Trust starting in February 2023. Prior to that, they were a Consultant Principal at Firth Park Academy from September 2022 to March 2023. Nick also served as the Principal at Eckington School from September 2020 to August 2022. Nick Melson obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Geographical Information Systems from Kingston University in 1997. In 1998, they completed the Army Officer Commissioning Course at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, where they developed skills in leadership, management, planning, and communication. In 2009, Nick pursued a Master of Arts degree in Geography Education from IOE - UCL's Faculty of Education and Society. Nick further enhanced their qualifications in education by earning a Postgraduate Certificate in Secondary Geography from the same institution in 2009. In 2006, Nick Melson obtained the L3 CISI Certificate in Securities (Investments) from BPP. Recently, in 2021, they acquired the National Professional Qualification for Headship from the Ambition Institute.
