Scott Thomas

Scott Thomas has a diverse work experience, starting in 2010 as a Swimming Teacher at Norris Bank Swimming Club. Scott then worked as a Liaison & E-Learning Officer at Aquinas College, where they developed partnerships and organized training programs. Scott also served as the Student Vice President at Aquinas College, managing various responsibilities. Scott later worked as an Activities Assistant and Scrutiny Officer at Newcastle University Students' Union. Scott also worked as a Higher Education Student Reviewer at The Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education, where they assessed institutions' policies and procedures. Additionally, they worked as an Assessment Associate at Pearson. Scott's experience in the education sector continued as they worked at Havelock Academy as a Teacher of History and Second in Department (History). Scott also had a role at Outwood Grange Academies Trust, where they served as an Associate Vice Principal, Assistant Principal, and Associate Assistant Principal. Scott Thomas has a BA (Hons) in Politics & History from Newcastle University, which they obtained from 2013 to 2016. Following this, they pursued a PGCE in Secondary History from Sheffield Hallam University from 2016 to 2017. Prior to their university studies, Scott attended Aquinas College from 2011 to 2013, where they focused on History & Politics. Scott completed their secondary education at Bramhall High School from 2006 to 2011. Currently, Scott is pursuing a Master of Science in Education at the University of Southampton, which they plan to obtain from 2020 to 2023. It is worth noting that they hold an ASA Teacher of Aquatics Level 1 certification from the Amateur Swimming Association.
