Derek Simon

Derek Simon has a diverse work experience in finance and analysis. Derek most recently served as the Chief Financial Officer at Outworx Group since May 2023. Prior to that, they held the same position at PLS Logistics Services from May 2022 to May 2023. Derek has also held various roles at INTREN, LLC, including Chief Financial Officer from April 2020 to May 2022, Interim CFO from October 2019 to April 2020, Director of Financial Planning and Analysis from July 2019 to October 2019, and Manager of FP&A from August 2016 to July 2019. Before that, they worked as an Associate in Equity & Real Asset Oversight at Nuveen from March 2015 to August 2016. Derek began their career as a Financial Analyst at Intren, Inc from June 2012 to March 2015, and also worked as an Intern at Nationwide Insurance in 2011.

Derek Simon obtained their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business from 2017 to 2020. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A) degree in Finance and Mathematics at the University of Notre Dame from 2009 to 2013. Derek's education began with earning their high school diploma from Northridge Prep in 2009.
