Overamstel Uitgevers is based in Amsterdam and Antwerp and brings together the imprints Carrera Culinair, Hollands Diep, Horizon, Inside, Lebowski Publishers, Moon, The House of Books and Rainbow. Together, we publish fiction and non-fiction, cookbooks, sports and history titles, children’s books and young adult — for readers of all ages.

Anyone who walks into our office immediately senses it: this is a place where stories take center stage. The palm trees, the two-story bookcase — but above all, the openness. Sales, marketing and PR work at the heart of the office, surrounded by the imprints. There are no barriers, literally or figuratively. We’re always within reach of one another.

That openness defines the way we work. We combine the strength of a central organization with the distinct identity of each imprint. Every editorial team has its own clear profile and specialist expertise. This ensures that each book receives the focus and dedication it deserves, while benefiting from shared expertise in marketing, sales, publicity and rights.

We look ahead. Long before e-books and audiobooks became standard, we had already embraced them. Innovation is in our DNA — whether through new storytelling formats, creative campaigns or tailored approaches in PR and rights. At the same time, we believe in proven strategies. We innovate where we can and rely on what works where we should.

Our editors work with established authors as well as debut writers. We invest in new talent and build sustainable careers together with our authors.

Strong impact, short lines of communication and an eye for detail — that’s how we create books that matter.

Since 2026 Overamstel Publishers is part of the Storytel Group.
