Overcomers Counseling
Kate Prensner MSW, LCSW is an experienced therapist, currently working at Overcomers Counseling since August 2019. Prior to this role, Kate served as a Trauma-Focused Therapist and Clinical Supervising Therapist at Lifeline Youth & Family Services from February 2015 to August 2019, providing home-based therapy services for DCFS and juvenile probation referrals using evidence-based modalities. Kate's earlier experience includes working as a Training Specialist and Therapist at New Life Children's Home in Honduras, a School-Based Therapist at Community Health Network's Gallahue Mental Health, and a Gang Prevention/Intervention Counselor with YWAM Los Angeles and LAPD. Academic qualifications include a Master of Social Work from Indiana University Indianapolis and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Taylor University, complemented by training in leadership and community development.
