Derrick Heindel

Derrick Heindel is a seasoned technology professional with extensive experience in software development and system management. Currently serving as a Staff Engineer at OverDrive, Inc. since June 2017, Derrick leads a team of developers in enhancing the Sora app for student access to ebooks and audiobooks, catering to hundreds of thousands of daily active users. Prior to this, Derrick worked at Quadax, Inc. for over 16 years, progressing from Programmer/Analyst to Senior Systems Manager, where responsibilities included managing development teams, overseeing healthcare revenue cycle management applications, and transitioning development methodologies from waterfall to agile. Derrick holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Ohio University.
