Kayla Baken is a skilled writer and public relations professional with diverse experience in comedy and hospitality communication. Currently serving as a Contributing Writer for Overheard since June 2022, Kayla pitches and writes jokes for editorial features on social media and dating guides. Previously, Kayla contributed to Adim, participating in the inaugural writers' room and co-leading efforts to develop original characters. Kayla's earlier roles include account supervision and senior account positions at various public relations firms, where responsibilities included media outreach and concept development, as well as gaining placements in notable publications. Kayla's background also includes writing profiles for Social Life Magazine and interning in the beauty and fashion public relations sector. Kayla holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from Indiana University Bloomington and has furthered education at UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television.
