Derek Stephens is an experienced architect currently self-employed at NTX Architecture LLC since November 2023, focusing on architecture and specifications. Previously, Derek served as Vice President and Senior Architectural Project Manager at HKS, Inc. from March 2015 to August 2022, managing projects for sports and commercial mixed-use groups and overseeing financial performance. Prior to that, Derek held roles at HOK and HKS as a Senior Associate and Associate Specification Writer, respectively, where responsibilities included managing specifications and developing technical standards. Derek's career began at SOM, with experience as a Project Coordinator and Specification Writer in London, as well as an intern architect. Derek earned a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from The University of Texas at Arlington from 1992 to 1996.
