John Finley

John Finley has a wealth of experience in the business world. John began their career in 1985 as a Co-founder of a startup, creating the Corporate Pursuit board game. After college, they joined Deloitte & Touche as a Consultant in 1993 and worked there until 1997. John then moved to Deutsche Bank as an Associate, managing the execution of over $4 billion in lead managed credit card, franchise loan and home equity securitizations. In 2002, they became an Independent Film Producer at Nettlecreek Group and in 2005 they took a role as a Deal Manager at Vision Capital Advisors, LLC. In 2007, they joined Tripoint Global Equities, LLC as the Managing Director, successfully overseeing numerous client financings totaling over $100 million for SME businesses and opening and managing the Beijing office. In 2016, they Co-founded and became CEO of Underalls Inc. and in 2020 they Co-founded and became CEO of Overlapp, an innovative platform that empowers users to share their thoughts, plans, and interests.

John Finley completed a Startup School Graduate program from Y Combinator in 2020. John also holds an MBA from NYU Stern School of Business, which they obtained in 1998 after studying Finance from 1996 to 1998. Before that, they obtained a BA in History from the University of Rochester in 1992, which they studied from 1988 to 1992.
