Shari Gasper Apr

Shari Gasper, APR has a diverse work experience in the field of communications and public relations. From 2019 to the present, they have worked at the Overture Center for the Arts, first as a Communications Manager and then as a Communications Director. In these roles, they have been responsible for developing the organization's brand, enhancing its public image, and increasing awareness of its programming in the Madison community and beyond. Shari has also supported various departments in setting communication policies and priorities. Prior to their time at the Overture Center, Shari worked at TASC from 2010 to 2019, where they served as the Marketing & Communications Team Lead and Strategist. Shari also has experience as an Independent Communications Consultant, where they provided support for various clients in developing communication strategies and creating printed and digital collateral. Shari has a strong background in writing and editing, with numerous published articles in various publications. Overall, they have a proven track record in effectively promoting organizations and helping them achieve their communication goals.

Shari Gasper, APR has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication with an emphasis in public relations from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. Shari has also earned a Certificate of Achievement in Skills for Success from Dale Carnegie Training in 2017/2018. Furthermore, they are currently pursuing Accreditation in Public Relations (APR) from the Universal Accreditation Board and is expected to complete it in December 2022.
