Casey Woods is currently the Executive Director at Overwatch Project | FORGE since 2014. Previously, they were a Fellow at Ashoka since 2016 and worked as a writer, columnist, and multimedia journalist as a freelancer from 2009 to 2013. They also worked as a Staff Writer at The Miami Herald from 2003 to 2010, reporting on Latin American culture, politics, and lifestyle. Their journalistic background includes covering crime and local government as a Metro News Reporter. Casey graduated from Columbia University with a Master of Science (MS) in Journalism in 2003, following a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Comparative Area Studies and Literature from Duke University in 1996.
