Joachim Gessner

Joachim Gessner serves as the Head of Global Energy Procurement & Risk Management at O-I since October 2013, where responsibilities include overseeing energy sourcing and risk management strategies for multiple plants across Europe. Previously, Gessner held the role of European Energy Procurement Manager at O-I, as well as Procurement Manager positions at Mondelēz International and Kraft Foods, managing extensive electricity and natural gas portfolios across numerous countries. Early career experience includes a Business Process Manager role at Lufthansa, focusing on optimizing procurement processes. Gessner holds a Diplom-Betriebswirt (BA) in Business Administration and an IHK certification as an Airline Commercial Manager.
