Rita Santos

Rita Santos is an accomplished leader in computational biology with extensive experience in data science and drug discovery. Currently serving as the Director of Discovery Engine at Owkin, Rita oversees multiple teams focused on delivering the DrugMatch and TargetMatch products, ensuring scientific excellence in target identification and drug positioning. Previously, Rita held positions as Lead Computational Biologist at OmiCure and VP of Computational Biology at GSK, where involvement included significant contributions to computational analysis and volunteering in health initiatives in Nigeria. Rita earned a PhD in Bioinformatics from the University of Cambridge and a Master's degree in Drug Discovery and Safety from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.
