Ian Carlson has work experience in various roles and companies.
From October 2020 to the present, Ian worked as a Software Engineer at Owl Cyber Defense.
Prior to that, from June 2015 to October 2020, they worked as a Senior Systems Engineer at Collins Aerospace. In this role, they developed software for embedded Linux-based cryptographic modules, worked with cryptographic algorithms to ensure module security, developed software for micro-controllers and System-On-Chip, utilized Secure Boot and related technologies for hardware security, and created a test pool for hardware resource sharing.

Ian Carlson earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Engineering from South Dakota Mines, where they attended from 2009 to 2013. Ian then went on to pursue a Master's degree in Computational Sciences and Robotics at the same institution, completing their studies from 2013 to 2015.
