Jed Smith

Jed Smith is an accomplished leader with extensive experience in board governance and entrepreneurship. Currently serving as an Elected Member of the Board of Directors for Marin Water since December 2022, Smith plays a crucial role in managing water resources for approximately 191,000 residents in Marin County. As a co-founder and retired managing director at Owl Ventures and founder at Catamount Ventures, Smith has significantly impacted the venture capital landscape. Additional board roles include positions at Banyan Water, Revolution Foods, Amour Vert, and Linden Lab. Smith's commitment to environmental advocacy is evident through co-founding the David E. Alper Nature Preserve and The Herring Ponds Watershed Association. Smith holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BA in History from Middlebury College.
