Bryan Wittmann

Head Of Clinical Translational Science at Owlstone Medical

Bryan Wittmann has extensive work experience in the field of translational science and metabolomics. Bryan is currently the Head of Clinical Translational Science at Owlstone Medical, starting in 2024. Prior to this, they held roles such as Principal Translational Scientist and Lead Translational Scientist at the same company, from 2022 to 2024 and 2021 to 2022, respectively.

Before joining Owlstone Medical, Bryan worked at Metabolon, Inc. for nearly a decade. Bryan held various positions, including Director of Discovery and Translational Sciences for Clinical and Innovative Metabolomic Applications from 2018 to 2021, Director of Discovery and Translational Sciences for Precision Medicine from 2016 to 2018, Associate Director of Discovery and Translational Sciences for Commercial and Diagnostics from 2012 to 2016, and Senior Study Director of Discovery and Translational Sciences for Academic Research Projects from 2011 to 2012.

Additionally, Bryan has experience as a Postdoctoral NCI/NRSA Fellow at Duke University Medical Center and as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at both Duke Medical Center Duke Univ and Case Western Reserve University. Bryan holds a research assistant position at Case Western Reserve University in the Department of Pharmacology from 1998 to 2000.

Bryan Wittmann received their Bachelor of Science degree in Molecular Biology from Allegheny College in 1998. Bryan later completed their Doctor of Philosophy in Pharmacology from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in 2003.
