Giuseppe Ferrandino

Giuseppe Ferrandino has extensive experience in the field of biomedical research. Giuseppe currently holds the position of Lead Clinical Translational Scientist at Owlstone Medical, where they are involved in the early stages of research and the development of breath-based diagnostic tests. Prior to this role, they served as a Senior Translation Scientist-Technical Lead for liver disease diagnostics at the same company.

Before joining Owlstone Medical, Ferrandino worked at the Max Planck Institute of Molecular Cell Biology and Genetics as a Postdoctoral Researcher. Here, they conducted research on the metabolic impact of adaptor protein ablation and developed new methods for measuring lipid accumulation in cells.

Giuseppe also worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Yale University School of Medicine, where they led cross-functional research projects and published scientific articles. Ferrandino's work at Yale involved the establishment of a new knock-out mouse model and the development of molecular dynamics simulations. Giuseppe Ferrandino pursued their education chronologically, starting by earning a High School Diploma in Technical of Restaurant Services from Istituto alberghiero Vincenzo Telese from 1995 to 2000. Giuseppe then attended Università degli Studi di Napoli Federico II from 2001 to 2006, where they obtained a degree in Scienze Biologiche in the field of Scienze MM.FF.NN. Following that, from 2006 to 2008, Giuseppe studied at Università degli Studi del Sannio-Benevento, specializing in Scienze e Tecnologie Genetiche. In terms of additional certifications, Giuseppe has obtained training in Drug Discovery and Design and Interpretation of Clinical Trials from Coursera, a Certificate of training from Yale University, and has completed a course in Using Experimental Animals in Research at the MPI-CBG - Max Planck Institute of Molecular Cell Biology and Genetics.
