Mafalda Viana

Mafalda Viana currently holds the position of Senior Data Scientist at Owlstone Medical, where responsibilities include data analysis and algorithm development for proprietary ion mobility spectrometry (FAIMS) sensors used in Medical and Defense applications, utilizing a range of tools such as supervised and unsupervised learning, deep learning, and SQL. Previously, Mafalda completed a summer internship at Innogen Technologies Limited, focusing on software solution development in collaboration with internal stakeholders, and another summer internship at Celulose Beira Industrial (Celbi) S.A., performing laboratory analyses of raw materials and industrial effluents. Mafalda earned an Integrated MSc in Biomedical Engineering with a specialization in Clinical Informatics and Bioinformatics from Universidade de Coimbra, and also studied at Politecnico di Milano.
