Mark Clerkin

Mark Clerkin is currently an advisor at OwnTrail. Prior to this, they were the head of trading at CoinList from May 2021 to May 2022. In this role, they led Coinlist's spot crypto exchange, OTC desk, and DeFi trading, business development, and operations. From April 2017 to May 2021, Clerkin was the co-founder and CTO of High Alpha, a venture-backed startup studio in Indianapolis, IN. There, they were the technical lead for a number of early-stage software companies. Prior to High Alpha, Clerkin was a quantitative trader at HC Technologies, LLC from June 2015 to May 2017. There, they led a FX trading team of senior machine learning engineers and quantitative researchers. Before HC Technologies, Clerkin worked as a quantitative trader at Jump Trading, LLC from March 2008 to December 2014. There, their team algorithmically traded in the spot and futures FX, metals, and equity markets. Mark began their career as a consultant at Crowe Horwath LLP from June 2007 to March 2008 and then as a consulting intern at BKD, LLP from May 2006 to August 2006.

Mark Clerkin studied Informatics at Indiana University Bloomington, where they earned a Bachelor of Science.
