Bryn Balcombe

Bryn Balcombe is an experienced professional in the fields of autonomy systems and artificial intelligence, currently serving as an Autonomy Systems & Regulation Expert at Oxa since February 2022. Additionally, Bryn holds the position of Chair of the ITU Focus Group on AI for Autonomous and Assisted Driving, focusing on the behavioral evaluation of AI in driving tasks. As founder of the non-profit alliance ADA, Bryn emphasizes the safe and ethical adoption of human-centric AI for road use. Previous roles include Chief Strategy Officer and Chief Technology Officer at Roborace, membership in the Global Future Council on Computing at the World Economic Forum, and various technology leadership positions at Support Partners, London Live ESTV, Formula One Management Limited, and Breed Technologies Inc. Bryn’s educational background includes a degree in Mechanical Engineering with Vehicle Design from the University of Hertfordshire.
