Gemma Head has a long and varied career in the healthcare and retail industries. Gemma began their career in 2003 as a Store Manager for Lush Fresh Handmade Cosmetics. In 2006, they became a Boutique Manager for L'Occitane en Provence, where they were responsible for opening the first boutique in the South West and managing the store's P&L and team of Sales Associates. In 2007, they joined STAR Medical as a Vendor Manager, providing recruitment solutions for Lundbeck UK Sales and Marketing. Gemma was quickly promoted to Recruitment Consultant. In 2010, they became the District Sales Manager for L'Occitane en Provence in the South West, ensuring that each boutique achieved sales targets, KPI's and P&L budgets. In 2012, they returned to STAR Medical as a Recruitment, Training and Development Manager and an Outsourcing Recruitment Manager for the UK & Ireland. In 2018, they became the European Resourcing Manager for Star Medical Europe, helping the network within Life Sciences make a real commercial impact. In 2020, they joined S12 Solutions as the Head of Delivery and National Delivery & Account Manager, making Mental Health Act assessment processes quicker, simpler and more secure. Most recently, in 2022, they became the Head of Customer Success for Oxehealth.

Gemma Head attended City of Bath College from 2001 to 2003, where they studied Anatomy and Physiology, Sports Massage, Aromatherapy, and Beauty Therapy. Gemma also attended St Marks from 1996 to 2001, where they obtained their GCSE in English, Science, Maths, Geography, German and Technology.
