Karen West

Head of Transformation for Mental Health at Oxehealth

Karen West has a wealth of experience in the business and healthcare sectors. Karen began their career in 2001 as a Manager in the Strategy and Acquisition Group at Sainsburys. In 2002, they moved to Smiths Detection as VP of Strategic Development, where they headed up the strategy for the expanded Detection business. In 2004, they joined First Technology Plc as Director of Strategic Development, where they designed and implemented a strategic planning process. In 2006, they moved to Brown Shipley as Senior Financial Analyst and Special Projects Manager. In 2007, they founded Modern Waste Ltd, where they were the Business Development Director. From 2015 to 2022, they held various roles at Medway NHS Foundation Trust and Tendable (formerly Perfect Ward). Her current role is Head of Transformation for Mental Health at Oxehealth.

Karen West began their education in 1980 at City of London Freemans and continued until 1987. Karen then attended Epsom College from 1985 to 1987. In 1987, they enrolled at King's College London, where they earned a BSc 2:1 in Mathematics and Management in 1990. Subsequently, they attended ICAEW and earned an ACA in Accountancy in 1993.
