Simon Hardman has a strong and diverse work experience spanning various industries. Simon began their career in the finance sector, working as a Management Accountant at Shell Trading from 1991 to 1995, and then as a Finance Manager at Shell Gabon from 1995 to 1998. In 1998, Simon joined Frito Lay as a Regional Planning Manager, where they provided support to the head of Operations for the UK, Middle East, and Africa.

Simon then transitioned into the print industry, working as a Finance Director at DigitaltoPrint from 2000 to 2002. Simon was involved in negotiations for the management buyout of Postanywhere, resulting in the creation of DigitaltoPrint. Simon then moved into the food industry, working as the UK Country Manager at Barry Callebaut from 2002 to 2005. Simon initially joined as the Finance Director and was later promoted to acting Managing Director after successfully implementing a turnaround strategy.

Simon's next role was as the Group Finance Director at Minivator Group Ltd from 2005 to 2010. This UK-based group specializes in manufacturing and installing stairlifts and was eventually sold to Handicare. Following this, Simon served as the Chief Financial Officer at Valldata Group Limited from 2011 to 2014, where they were responsible for payment processing for the Not-for-Profit sector.

In 2014, Simon joined Lexacom as a Non-Executive Director, working closely with the CEO to support the strategic direction of the company and drive their long-term growth ambitions. From 2015 to 2017, they served as the Finance Director at eTech Solutions Ltd, a leading provider of mobile surveying and workflow management software. Currently, Simon is the Chief Operating Officer at Oxehealth Limited, a role they have held since 2017. Oxehealth focuses on providing Software as a Service solutions to improve the care and wellbeing of patients and individuals.

Simon Hardman attended The Edinburgh Academy from 1974 to 1987. Simon then went on to study at the University of Aberdeen from 1991 to 1994, earning a BSc (Hons) in Pure Chemistry.
