Alfredo Macchiati is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in economic policy and regulatory affairs. Currently serving as a Partner and Direttore at Oxera Consulting LLP since May 2016, Macchiati also holds the position of Professore di Politica Economica at LUISS Dipartimento di scienze politiche since February 2012. Previous roles include Direttore Generale at Cassa Conguaglio per il Settore Elettrico, President of both Associazione Crusoe and Mercados EMI Europe, and Direttore Centrale at Ferrovie dello Stato S.p.A. Macchiati has contributed to academia as a Professore di Istituzioni e Politica Economica Europea at University of Rome "Tor Vergata." Key earlier positions were held at Enel and the Italian Antitrust Authority, alongside a significant tenure at Consob. Macchiati holds a Dottore in Economia e Commercio from Sapienza Università di Roma and was a Visiting Fellow at Northwestern University.
