Alan Smith is an experienced professional in the fields of child rights, health, and international development, currently serving as the Nordics partnerships manager at Oxfam since June 2019. Previously, Alan held key positions including Director of Programmes at Chance for Childhood, where responsibility included managing child rights initiatives across Africa, and Senior HIV Advisor at the International Planned Parenthood Federation, overseeing global HIV programs. Alan also served as Chief Operating Officer at Plan International UK, following extensive roles at VSO as Regional Director for South East Asia and Southern Africa, including significant management of multi-million-pound budgets and large teams.
