Hashmi

Ghufran Elah Hashmi is an accomplished professional with substantial expertise in monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning (MEAL). Currently serving as the Head of MEAL at Oxfam since October 2019, Ghufran has previously held significant roles, including Head of Monitoring, Evaluation, Learning, and Accountability at Save the Children International and Save the Children Pakistan from March 2015 to October 2019. Experience includes the development and implementation of impact measurement systems aligned with strategic plans and the management of independent MEAL units. Early career highlights involve serving as an M&E Specialist at CARE International UK, where Ghufran developed monitoring and evaluation systems for major USAID- and DFATD-funded projects, and leading M&E efforts for various humanitarian initiatives at organizations including CNFA, Catholic Relief Services, and CIET International. Ghufran holds master's degrees in Geography and Social Sciences from the University of Peshawar.
