Patrick Heinisch is an experienced economist specializing in emerging markets and developing countries. Currently serving as an Economist for Landesbank Hessen Thuringen ("Helaba") since August 2018, Patrick establishes sovereign credit ratings and conducts research while participating in seminars and conferences. Additionally, since March 2021, Patrick contributes articles on economic issues in East Africa for Oxford Analytica's "Daily Brief." Previously, Patrick held roles at Helaba as a Senior Credit Analyst focusing on country risks, and at KfW Entwicklungsbank, where country risk assessments for Sub-Saharan Africa were prepared. Early career experience includes an apprenticeship as an Industrial Management Assistant at MAN Camions et Bus S.A. Patrick holds a Master of Science in International Economics and Public Policy and a Bachelor of Science in Economic Sciences from Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz, along with additional certifications in accounting.
