Charlie McCarthy is an experienced engineering professional with a background in operational readiness and project engineering within the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors. Currently serving as an Operational Readiness Project Engineer at Eli Lilly and Company since March 2024, Charlie previously held roles at Oxford Biomedica as a Project Engineer in Internal Manufacturing TechOps, and at MSL Engineering Ltd. as a Graduate Quality Engineer. Earlier experience includes a Manufacturing Process Specialist Intern position at The Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson & Johnson and a significant role at Eurospar managing the Covid-19 home delivery service. Charlie holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical Engineering from Munster Technological University and a Leaving Certificate from Skibbereen Community School.
