Marissa Stanvick

Marissa Stanvick has a diverse range of work experience spanning multiple roles and industries. Marissa is currently the Director at Oxford Biomedica Solutions, where they lead the Upstream Process Development for AAV production in gene therapy and gene editing products. Under their leadership, their team has successfully developed a scalable suspension platform that delivers high titer and product quality.

Prior to their current role, Marissa worked at Homology Medicines, Inc. as an Associate Director from 2020 to 2022 and as a Scientist II from 2018 to 2020. At Momenta Pharmaceuticals, they held the position of Process Engineer II from 2017 to 2018, Senior Research Associate from 2014 to 2017, and Research Associate from 2012 to 2014. Marissa also gained experience at Merck Millipore as a Research Scientist II from 2012 to 2012 and as a Research Scientist I from 2010 to 2012.

Marissa's career started in academia, where they worked at the University of Massachusetts Amherst as a Research Assistant to Professor Neil Forbes from 2007 to 2010 and as an Administrative Assistant to Professor Todd Emrick from 2007 to 2010.

Additionally, Marissa had internship experiences at Biogen Idec as a Cell Culture Development Intern in 2009 and at Abbott Laboratories as a Bioprocess Engineering Intern in 2008.

Marissa Stanvick pursued their education with great commitment and dedication. Marissa'seducational journey began in 2006 when they enrolled at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Over the course of four years, from 2006 to 2010, they worked diligently towards earning their Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering. This educational foundation equipped their with a strong understanding of the subject.

In their quest for further knowledge and professional growth, Marissa decided to expand their educational horizons. Marissa embarked on a new academic endeavor at the esteemed Harvard Extension School. With a clear objective in mind, they pursued a Master of Liberal Arts degree in Biotechnology. Marissa's time at Harvard Extension School concluded in 2020, marking the completion of their master's degree.

Throughout their educational journey, Marissa displayed a genuine enthusiasm for learning and a drive to acquire knowledge in diverse fields. Marissa'sacademic achievements and dedication to their studies are indicative of their commitment to personal growth and professional excellence.
